Cookie Policy
Effective date: 16 July 2026 · Last updated: 16 July 2026 · Version 2
Last updated: 14 July 2026 · Version 2
This Cookie Policy explains how StayLocal, operated by Spacelinkers Infotech Private Limited (CIN: U72900UP2020PTC129695), uses cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, SDKs, pixels, tags — together "cookies"), and the choices you have. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Small text files or browser storage entries placed on your device that let a website remember your session, preferences, or activity. "First-party" cookies are set by us; "third-party" cookies are set by other companies whose technology we embed (e.g., analytics or advertising providers).
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Supabase authentication cookies — keep you signed in securely.
sl_cookie_consent— stores your cookie choices (ironically, remembering that you said no requires one cookie). These cannot be disabled; the Platform cannot function without them. They do not track you across sites.
Functional (none active today) Preferences such as display settings or remembered filters. Loaded only with Functional consent.
Analytics (none active today — anticipated)
Usage measurement to improve the product. Anticipated providers: Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) and Microsoft Clarity (session analytics/heatmaps). These load only with Analytics consent. Providers may set their own cookies (e.g., _ga, _gid, _clck) and process data on servers outside India — see Privacy Policy §5 and §7.
Marketing (none active today — anticipated) Advertising, measurement and retargeting. Anticipated providers: Google AdSense / Google advertising products and Meta Pixel. These load only with Marketing consent and may set third-party cookies used to serve personalised or non-personalised ads across sites. You can additionally control Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com; information about how Google uses data from partner sites is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
3. Your choices
- The cookie banner offers Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, and Customize on your first visit.
- Change your mind any time at /privacy/cookies — signed-in users' choices are additionally recorded as consent evidence (timestamp, policy version, IP, device).
- Technical enforcement: every non-essential script on the Platform is gated in code on your recorded consent; a category you declined never loads. Declining changes nothing about how the site works today, because no non-essential trackers currently exist.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge each document this); blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in.
- Consent is re-sought if categories or providers change materially (the banner reappears with a new policy version).
4. Cookie lifespans
Session cookies expire when you close the browser; persistent cookies have set lifetimes (our consent cookie: 180 days; auth cookies: per session/refresh policy; third-party cookie lifetimes are set by their providers and disclosed in their policies).
5. Do Not Track
Browser DNT signals have no industry-standard meaning; we honour your explicit choices made in the banner and preferences page instead.
6. Contact
